A quick and easy party dip combining creamy ranch, crispy bacon, and sharp cheddar cheese for a crowd-pleasing snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 packet (or 2 tablespoons) ranch seasoning mix
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 2 stalks green onions, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon fresh chopped parsley or chives

Instructions

  1. Cook the bacon in a cold skillet over medium heat, turning occasionally, until crispy (about 8-10 minutes). Drain on paper towels and crumble once cooled.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese and sour cream. Use a hand mixer on medium speed until smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add ranch seasoning, garlic powder, and black pepper to the bowl. Mix until fully incorporated.
  4. Fold in shredded cheddar cheese and most of the crumbled bacon, reserving some for topping.
  5. Add chopped green onions and fold them in gently.
  6. Refrigerate the dip for at least 30 minutes to let flavors meld, or serve immediately if short on time.
  7. Before serving, sprinkle remaining bacon and optional fresh herbs on top.

Notes

Let cream cheese soften fully to avoid lumps. Cook bacon low and slow for best crispiness. Chill dip for at least 30 minutes to enhance flavor. Grate your own cheese for smoother texture. Bring dip to room temperature before serving if chilled overnight.
