A simple, elegant charcuterie board for two that comes together in just 15 minutes. Perfect for date nights, anniversaries, or any occasion where you want to enjoy good food and good company without the stress.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4–6 slices prosciutto
  • 4–6 slices Genoa salami
  • 4–6 slices soppressata (optional)
  • 4 ounces brie (double or triple cream)
  • 3 ounces aged cheddar
  • 3 ounces Manchego cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fig jam or honey
  • 1/4 cup olives (Castelvetrano or kalamata)
  • 1/4 cup cornichons
  • 1/4 cup almonds (Marcona or roasted)
  • 1/4 cup dried apricots or figs
  • 10 water crackers
  • 8–10 thin baguette slices
  • 8 rosemary crackers
  • Small bunch fresh grapes (optional)
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs for garnish (optional)
  • 2 squares dark chocolate (70% cacao or higher, optional)

Instructions

  1. Take cheeses out of the fridge 20 minutes before starting to let them come to room temperature.
  2. Set out your board or plate on the counter where you’ll be serving.
  3. Place small bowls (fig jam, olives, cornichons) in a triangle pattern on the board.
  4. Add cheeses: cut brie into wedges (keep together), slice cheddar into thin triangles or cubes, cut Manchego into small wedges. Place each in a different section away from the bowls.
  5. Layer in meats: fold prosciutto into loose ribbons, roll salami into cylinders or fold into quarters. Place near complementary cheeses.
  6. Fill in with crackers and bread: fan out baguette slices, arrange water and rosemary crackers in small clusters.
  7. Add nuts and dried fruit: scatter almonds and dried apricots in gaps between larger items.
  8. Garnish and finish: tuck fresh rosemary sprigs between cheese wedges, add grapes if using, drizzle honey over brie if desired.
  9. Step back and adjust: fill empty spots with extra nuts or crackers, move items for balance.
  10. Serve immediately with small plates, cheese knives, and napkins.

Notes

For best flavor, let cheeses and meats come to room temperature before serving. Don’t overcrowd the board; leave breathing room between items. If making ahead, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate, then let sit at room temperature for 20-30 minutes before serving. Store leftovers: cheese wrapped in wax paper in fridge for up to 5 days; meats wrapped tightly for up to 3 days; crackers and nuts in airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
