Kid-Friendly Halloween Punch: Easy Orange Vanilla Recipe - featured image

A quick and easy orange vanilla Halloween punch that kids love, made with simple ingredients like orange soda, vanilla ice cream, and gummy worms for a spooky touch.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 liters orange soda (chilled)
  • 1 quart vanilla ice cream (slightly softened)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 can (6 ounces) orange juice concentrate (thawed)
  • 1 liter lemon-lime soda (chilled)
  • 1–2 oranges (sliced into rounds for garnish)
  • A few drops black food coloring (optional)
  • 1 cup gummy worms (for garnish)
  • Dry ice (optional, for fog effect)

Instructions

  1. Chill the orange soda and lemon-lime soda in the fridge for at least 4 hours (or overnight).
  2. Thaw the orange juice concentrate about 30 minutes before starting (or microwave for 10 seconds if in a hurry).
  3. In a large pitcher, combine the thawed orange juice concentrate and vanilla extract; stir until well blended.
  4. Slowly pour in the chilled orange soda and lemon-lime soda, stirring gently to combine without losing fizz.
  5. If using black food coloring, add 2-3 drops and stir until the punch turns a dark orange color.
  6. Scoop the slightly softened vanilla ice cream into a large punch bowl (use about half the carton for a creamy punch or the whole carton for extra thickness).
  7. Float orange slices on top and drape gummy worms over the edge of the bowl.
  8. Serve immediately. If using dry ice, add small pieces with tongs (never let children handle dry ice).

Notes

Chill all ingredients thoroughly to prevent the ice cream from melting too quickly. Add the ice cream right before serving for the best presentation. The punch base (sodas and orange juice concentrate) can be stored in the fridge for up to 24 hours; add ice cream and garnishes just before serving. For a dairy-free version, use coconut-based vanilla ice cream. For less sugar, use diet sodas.
