These no-bake Oreo balls are a simple, budget-friendly holiday treat made with just a few ingredients. They’re perfect for making with kids and always a hit at parties.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (14.3 oz / 405 g) regular Oreo cookies
  • 1 block (8 oz / 226 g) full-fat cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 12 oz (340 g) white melting chocolate or white chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil or vegetable shortening
  • Red and green sprinkles (optional)
  • Crushed candy canes (optional)
  • Drizzled dark chocolate (optional)

Instructions

  1. Crush the entire package of Oreos in a food processor until you have fine, even crumbs. Set aside 2 tablespoons for garnish if desired.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with vanilla extract and salt until smooth and fluffy, about 2 minutes.
  3. Add the Oreo crumbs to the cream cheese mixture and mix on low speed until fully incorporated, about 1 minute. If too sticky, refrigerate for 15 minutes; if too dry, add a teaspoon of milk.
  4. Using a small cookie scoop or tablespoon, portion the dough and roll into 1-inch balls. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. You should get about 24 to 28 balls.
  5. Refrigerate the balls for at least 30 minutes (or up to 1 hour) until firm.
  6. While the balls chill, melt the white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals at 50% power, stirring between each interval. Stir in coconut oil or shortening for a smoother consistency.
  7. Remove the chilled balls from the fridge. Working one at a time, dip each ball into the melted chocolate using a fork, letting excess drip off. Place back on the parchment paper and immediately add sprinkles or crushed candy canes.
  8. Return the baking sheet to the refrigerator for another 20 to 30 minutes until the chocolate is firm. Transfer to an airtight container and serve cold.

Notes

Chill the balls thoroughly before dipping to prevent them from falling apart. For a cleaner coating, use a toothpick to dip the balls. These taste even better the next day.
