These crispy garlic parmesan fries are air-fried to golden perfection with a savory garlic and parmesan coating. Quick and easy to make, they are perfect for a satisfying snack or side dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 medium russet potatoes (peeled or unpeeled)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt to taste
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry the potatoes thoroughly. Slice into even sticks about ¼ to ½ inch thick.
  2. Place the cut potatoes in a large bowl of cold water and soak for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch. Drain and pat dry completely.
  3. In a dry mixing bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, minced fresh garlic, salt, and pepper. Add the dried potato sticks and toss thoroughly to coat.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C). Lay the potatoes in a single layer inside the basket, avoiding overcrowding.
  5. Cook for 10-12 minutes, then shake the basket or flip fries with tongs. Continue cooking for another 10-13 minutes until golden and crispy.
  6. Immediately transfer fries to a mixing bowl. While still hot, sprinkle grated Parmesan and chopped parsley. Toss gently to melt the cheese slightly and coat the fries.
  7. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

Soaking the potatoes removes starch for extra crispiness. Pat fries dry thoroughly before cooking. Shake or flip fries halfway through cooking for even browning. Use fresh grated Parmesan for best flavor and melting. Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket to maintain crispiness. Leftovers can be reheated in the air fryer at 350°F for 3-5 minutes to restore crispiness.
