A cozy, creamy oat milk latte sweetened with brown sugar and spiced with cinnamon, perfect for slow mornings or comforting pick-me-ups.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (240 ml) freshly brewed medium or dark roast coffee
  • ¾ cup (180 ml) oat milk, preferably unsweetened barista-style
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Brew 1 cup (240 ml) of strong medium or dark roast coffee and keep hot.
  2. Pour ¾ cup (180 ml) oat milk into a small saucepan over medium-low heat and warm gently until about 140°F (60°C), about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Stir in 1 to 2 tablespoons brown sugar and ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon into the warm oat milk, whisking continuously to dissolve sugar and blend cinnamon evenly.
  4. Add ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract and a pinch of salt, stirring well.
  5. Froth the oat milk mixture using a milk frother or whisk vigorously by hand until light and frothy, about 30 seconds to 1 minute.
  6. Pour brewed coffee into a mug or latte glass, then slowly add the frothed oat milk mixture, holding back foam with a spoon, then spoon foam on top.
  7. Sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon on top as garnish and serve immediately.

Notes

Use medium or dark roast coffee for best flavor balance. Avoid overheating oat milk to prevent separation or burnt taste. If no frother, whisk vigorously or shake in a sealed jar to froth. Barista-style oat milk froths better due to added oils. For stronger cinnamon flavor, steep a cinnamon stick in oat milk while warming and remove before frothing. Leftover latte can be refrigerated up to 24 hours and reheated gently.
