A quick and easy dessert board featuring crisp apple slices, warm caramel, creamy dips, and crunchy toppings—perfect for a cozy night in.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large Honeycrisp apples
  • 1 lemon
  • 1/2 cup high-quality caramel sauce
  • 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup Nutella
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/4 cup roasted salted peanuts, chopped
  • 1/4 cup toasted pecans, roughly chopped
  • 2 tablespoons mini chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon flaky sea salt
  • 2 tablespoons shredded coconut (optional)
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries (optional)
  • 2 shortbread or graham crackers (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry apples. Cut into thin wedges (about 8-10 slices per apple). Squeeze fresh lemon juice over slices and toss gently to prevent browning.
  2. Heat a small skillet over medium heat. Toast pecans for 2-3 minutes until fragrant, shaking occasionally. Remove and let cool, then roughly chop.
  3. Warm caramel sauce in a small saucepan over low heat for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly, or microwave for 15-20 seconds until warm and pourable.
  4. Place small ramekins or bowls on a wooden board. Put caramel in the center, then arrange peanut butter, Nutella, and honey around it.
  5. Fill remaining spaces with apple slices, arranging in a fan pattern or overlapping rows.
  6. Sprinkle chopped peanuts, toasted pecans, mini chocolate chips, and flaky sea salt over the board. Add optional coconut or dried cranberries if using. Place shortbread or graham crackers on the edge.
  7. Drizzle a small amount of warm caramel over the apples. Serve immediately while caramel is warm and apples are crisp.

Notes

For best results, serve apples cold and caramel warm. Prep apples up to 4 hours ahead by storing in lemon water. Flaky sea salt is essential for balancing sweetness. Warm peanut butter for 10 seconds for smoother dipping.
