A quick and easy frozen strawberry margarita recipe that balances fresh lime juice with sweet strawberries and tequila for a perfect summer drink.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups (300g) frozen strawberries
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) silver tequila (100% agave)
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) triple sec or orange liqueur
  • 12 tablespoons honey or agave syrup
  • 1 cup (240ml) ice cubes
  • Salt (for rimming glasses, optional)
  • Lime wedges (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the glasses by rubbing a lime wedge around the rims and dipping them into salt on a small plate. Set aside to dry slightly.
  2. Juice fresh limes until you have about 1/4 cup (60ml) of juice. Strain to remove seeds and pulp.
  3. In a blender, combine frozen strawberries, silver tequila, triple sec, fresh lime juice, honey or agave syrup, and ice cubes.
  4. Blend on high for 30-60 seconds until the mixture is thick and slushy. Stop and scrape down the sides if necessary to blend evenly.
  5. Pour into prepared glasses and garnish each with a lime wedge and optionally a fresh strawberry on the rim. Serve immediately.

Notes

Use frozen strawberries for the best icy texture. Fresh lime juice is crucial for bright flavor. Adjust sweetness with honey or agave syrup to taste. Avoid over-blending to prevent watery texture. Chill glasses beforehand for colder drinks. Salt rim with coarse sea salt or margarita salt for best texture.
