A quick and easy charcuterie board featuring assorted cured meats, cheeses, fresh fruits, nuts, and a tangy honey mustard dip, perfect for picnics and outdoor gatherings.

Ingredients

  • Assorted cured meats (e.g., salami, prosciutto, and pepperoni) – about 6 ounces (170g) total
  • Cheese selection (cheddar, gouda, and creamy brie) – about 8 ounces (225g) total, sliced or cubed
  • Crackers and baguette slices – choose sturdy types that hold up to dips
  • Fresh grapes or sliced apples – about 1 cup (150g)
  • Mixed nuts (almonds, walnuts, or pecans) – ½ cup (70g)
  • Olives or pickles – ⅓ cup (50g)
  • Mayonnaise – ¼ cup (60ml)
  • Yellow mustard – 2 tablespoons (30ml)
  • Honey – 1 tablespoon (15ml)
  • Apple cider vinegar – 1 teaspoon (5ml)
  • Garlic powder – ¼ teaspoon (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper – to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Honey Mustard Dip: In a small mixing bowl, combine ¼ cup mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons yellow mustard, 1 tablespoon honey, 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar, and ¼ teaspoon garlic powder (if using). Whisk until smooth. Season with salt and pepper. Chill in the fridge for at least 10 minutes.
  2. Slice Meats and Cheeses: Arrange about 6 ounces of assorted cured meats by folding or rolling slices. Slice or cube roughly 8 ounces of cheese into bite-sized pieces.
  3. Prepare Fruits and Nuts: Rinse and dry fresh grapes or slice apples thinly (brush with lemon juice to prevent browning). Place ½ cup mixed nuts in a small bowl.
  4. Arrange the Board: Place the dip bowl in the center or off to one side. Surround with clusters of meats, cheeses, crackers, fruits, nuts, and olives/pickles, alternating textures and colors.
  5. Final Touches: Optionally add fresh herbs like rosemary sprigs or edible flowers. Cover loosely with plastic wrap if prepping ahead and refrigerate until serving.

Notes

For gluten-free options, use gluten-free crackers or fresh veggies. Mayo can be swapped with Greek yogurt for a lighter dip. Prepare dip a day ahead for better flavor. Keep crackers separate until serving to avoid sogginess. Use room temperature cheese for best flavor.
