A rich and tangy creamy miso Caesar dressing that adds a savory umami boost to fresh salads, dips, and roasted veggies. Quick and easy to make with simple pantry ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) white miso paste
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) mayonnaise (vegan mayo optional)
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup (25 grams) grated Parmesan cheese (dairy-free option available)
  • 1 clove garlic, minced or pressed
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) Worcestershire sauce (optional, gluten-free or tamari for vegan)
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 2 to 4 tablespoons (30 to 60 ml) water, to thin dressing

Instructions

  1. Measure out all ingredients precisely: 1/2 cup mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons lemon juice, 1/4 cup grated Parmesan, 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard, 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce, 1 minced garlic clove, and 1 tablespoon white miso paste.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the white miso paste and mayonnaise until smooth to dissolve the miso evenly.
  3. Add the fresh lemon juice and Dijon mustard, whisking again until fully combined and slightly fizzy.
  4. Stir in the minced garlic and grated Parmesan cheese for the classic Caesar flavor.
  5. Add Worcestershire sauce and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Slowly whisk in 2 to 4 tablespoons of water until the dressing reaches your desired consistency.
