A quick and easy creamy dip that captures the iconic flavor of everything bagels, perfect for parties, game days, or casual snacking.

  • 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) sour cream
  • 2 tbsp (30 ml) mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp everything bagel seasoning (sesame seeds, poppy seeds, dried garlic, onion flakes, salt)
  • 1 tbsp fresh chives, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp fresh lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: pinch of smoked paprika
  • Optional: 1 tsp fresh dill, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Soften the cream cheese by removing it from the fridge about 30 minutes before starting or microwave in 10-second bursts until soft but not melted.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise. Beat with an electric mixer or whisk until creamy and smooth, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Stir in garlic powder, fresh lemon juice, and half of the chopped chives. Season with salt and pepper lightly.
  4. Fold in 1 tablespoon of everything bagel seasoning carefully to keep crunchy bits intact.
  5. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, ideally 1 hour, to let flavors meld and dip firm up.
  6. Before serving, sprinkle the remaining everything bagel seasoning and chopped chives on top for presentation and extra crunch.

Notes

If the dip is too thick after chilling, stir in a teaspoon or two of milk or cream to loosen it. If too soft, add a bit more cream cheese. Use fresh lemon juice for best flavor. Reserve some everything bagel seasoning for topping to maintain texture contrast. The dip should be chilled well for best scoopability. This dip does not freeze well.
