A quick and easy 5-ingredient creamy cheesesteak dip that combines tender steak, melty provolone, and cream cheese for a comforting snack perfect for gatherings and casual hangouts.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces ribeye or sirloin steak, thinly sliced
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
  • 1 small green bell pepper, finely chopped
  • ½ small onion, finely diced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter

Instructions

  1. Thinly slice 8 ounces of ribeye or sirloin into bite-sized strips and season lightly with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped green bell pepper and diced onion and cook for 3–4 minutes until softened, stirring occasionally.
  3. Push the veggies to the side and add the steak strips. Increase heat to medium-high and cook for 3–5 minutes, stirring frequently until the steak is browned and cooked through.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese and shredded provolone cheese. Stir until smooth and creamy.
  5. Add the cooked steak and veggie mixture to the cheese blend. Sprinkle garlic powder and additional salt and pepper to taste. Stir gently but thoroughly.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a serving dish. Serve immediately or bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10 minutes until bubbly and golden on top. Alternatively, microwave for 1–2 minutes to warm.
  7. Serve warm with chips, toasted baguette slices, or crunchy veggies.

Notes

[‘Do not overcook the steak to keep it tender and juicy.’, ‘Use softened cream cheese to avoid lumps; warm briefly if needed.’, ‘Fresh veggies add crunch and balance the richness.’, ‘Season gradually to avoid over-salting.’, ‘Add a splash of milk or cream before baking if dip is too thick.’, ‘Cast iron skillet adds extra flavor but is not required.’]
